- Obvious Victory… not so obvious that that! The victory of Italy vis-a-vis in Australia seemed obvious it was however not it, since the goal liberator was marked only at the end of the match!
- Obvious Victory: Brazil beats Ghana by marking 3 goals…
- Victory… not obvious: France beats Spain by three goals to one!
For some, Spain was favorite, for others the match was regarded as balanced… But very little saw France winner! - Red card: the meeting Portugal/Netherlands with ..... 16 yellow cards and 4 red cards!
- Switzerland, a team… not like the others?
- Glop! Switzerland was eliminated in eighth from finale without to have taken the least goal at the time of the tournament.
- Not Glop! Switzerland also became the first team in the history of the World cup not to have registered only one goal of its shootings to the goal. (In 16 matches of World cup whose exit was decided by a meeting of shootings to the goal before this eighth, never a team had not seen all its penalties stopped by the goalkeeper or/and to pass beside the framework.)
