Handing-over in question of the marriage…

LONDON (Reuters) - Nearly a quarter of the British (23%) regret having married and 15% of been engaged admit that they will cross the step with apprehension, according to a study of OnePoll.Com made public Thursday.
If the majority of the people questioned in Great Britain say to have married by love, a third of the couples advances like reason the desire for having children or the need for paying the jointly bought house. Four percent acknowledge to get married… only for the gifts and the festival of marriage.

Wedding is for the best… and the worst.
Unfortunately, in the consumer society in which we live we prefer to divorce rather than to face the worst in couple!

It was famished ...

A python ate eleven watchdogs in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -
A 7,1 meter python ate eleven watchdogs of an orchard before being discovered by inhabitants of the village of Kampung Pagoh, in the south of Malaysia.
“I was amazed to see such an enormous python”, declared the guard Ali Yusof in New Straits Times, which publishes the photograph of a snake almost as long as the width of a tennis court and as large as a tree trunk.
The inhabitants of the village did not make of evil to the python, that they gave to persons in charge for wild fauna, brings back the newspaper Friday.

… or he hated the dogs, in any case, it was not a small one at all !

White Christmas ...

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glistenand children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white.

We wish you a Merry Christmas...

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

Good tidings to you,
And all of your kin,
Good tidings for Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

We all know that Santa's coming,
We all know that Santa's coming,
We all know that Santa's coming,
And soon will be here.

Good tidings to you,
And all of your kin,
Good tidings for Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year.

The autumn or ... spring equinox!

The first day of the Autumn is given on a quite precise date according to the positioning of the sun compared to the ground.
The autumn equinox is alternate between the Northern hemisphere and the Southern hemisphere: for the countries of the Northern hemisphere, the fall equinox takes place on September 23 in 2006 whereas for those of the southern hemisphere, this same date corresponds to the spring equinox!

The first day of the Autumn corresponds to the entry during one time when the sunning decreases. It is one period of the very pleasant year, neither too heat, nor too cold, where nature offers a blazing and coloured face to us.

Happy New Year ....

… Not, it is not an error, it is quite simply Ethiopian New Year's day!

“Like the calendar copte, the Ethiopian calendar has twelve 30 days months each one plus five or six epagomenes days (usually called thirteenth month), but with names into amharic. The sixth epagomene day is added every four years on August 29 in the calendar Julien, six months before the epagomene day of this last.
Thus, Ethiopian New Year's day, 1st of the month of Mäskäräm celebrates on August 30 in the Julien calendar when the sixth day is added. For the years of the Gregorian calendar going from 1901 to 2099 included, the equivalent corresponds to September 11.
To indicate the date, the Ethiopian ones used in the beginning the Era of the Incarnation, which fixes the date of the incarnation of Jesus at March 25 of year 9 of the Christian era (Julien) (chosen by Annianus of Alexandria at the beginning of Ve century). But the first calendar year began seven months earlier, on August 29 of year 8 (Julien), which involved a eight years shift with the Gregorian comput of January 1 to September 10 then a seven years shift for the remainder of the Gregorian year. “

One year… already

One year ago, I started preparing my return in France after a few very instructive months in Munich and astronomical science (ESO with Garching) to take care of the data observed from the VLT (Broad Very Telescopes) in Chile or from HST (Hubble Space Telescope).
